She swims!
I should clarify. Talie swims with the aid of her amazing swim teacher, Jamie. We started clear back in February and have been attending a weekly 30 minute lesson pretty consistently since then. As of right now, Talie can float, roll to her back, do big scooper arms, blow bubbles/hold her breath, dive for rings, do "duck dives", backstroke arms and kick nearly the entire length of the pool. Its been a slow process, but she is finally at the point where she looks forward to her lesson. She adores Jamie and I can see that she tries her best when she is in the water with her. (Not so much with me!...we're working on that!) We have been able to have her swim lessons at a very nice home and have loved the outdoor pool experience. We will soon put the lessons on hold while the cold months ensue. It has been a fun summer of swimming, goggle eyes and little girl tan lines!

I've heard that that Jamie girl is an excellent swim teacher. It's her passion and she puts her whole heart into it. The only thing that is holding me back from enrolling my kiddos (her nephew/niece) with her is the 2 hour commute. Shoot. Guess they'll have to put up with their mommma if they want to learn to swim.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Tally is one cute swimmer chick. Bet she'll have her mom's water skills one day from potato bug rolls to racing up and down the pool.
ReplyDeleteLove all the updates! Your kids are growing so quickly. They are beautiful and I miss them.
