Potty Training

Has anyone used this method when potty training their kids? Potty Training in One Day There are many books on this method. There are also a bazillion of other books covering all the other methods as well. I'm beginning to venture with Tally down this path. She is showing great signs of readiness, which is so exciting for me, she has NO idea! What have been your experiences with potty training? What worked? What did not? She's just over 20 months and I have it in my mind that she'll be out of diapers before she's 2.
Please, share! And thank you.

That one place

You know when your life is just so full and you have so much that you want to share. And then you don't. And then it piles up. And then you just get frustrated with yourself for not sharing. So then you just say, "Oh forget it!" You know? Well, that's where I am. Right there.

Here is probably what I would have posted about had I actually gotten my booty in gear and been proactive about it:

  • My trip to Puerto Rico and how cool it was. And everything I learned- about myself, about what it means to be a strong capable woman. About traveling with a babe in arms. About traffic laws and how they are optional in some places in the world. About the beauty and vastness of the Atlantic Ocean and how its beauty brings me to tears. About the feel of sand between my toes and what it means to really connect with the Earth. About what it means to spend quality time with people you love. About service. About bugs. About crabs and lizards. About limes. About cokey frogs. About *humidity*. About air conditioning and how much I will never ever ever be ungrateful for that invention. About HOT. About sisterhood and family. About my love and longing for my hubby back home. About making chocolate chip cookies, the awesomeness of the good kind of tortillas from Costco. About ICE WATER. About swimming and sun tan lines. About 5:45am. About culture, coconuts, cobblestone roads, fruit stands, avocados, Espanol, Old San Juan, Hard Rock Cafe, mangy dogs, palm trees, metric system, Abichuelas rojas y arroz, plantains, "Farting in your purse", and the worst titty twister EVER. I would have written all about those things and of course the loads and loads of wonderful times with Alicia and her two sweet toe head girls. And I would not have been able to leave out the joys of my travels home where I threw up TWICE on the airplane. Oh yes, wouldn't YOU have loved to be my neighbor on those flights!
The two week trip was spectacular and it was an honor to spend the time with people I love SO very much!

To paroose all 400-something pictures of the trip, go here
Be careful, don't waste too much time. They mostly are pics of Natalie with a pretty background.
